Game Jam Prototype
The first time our team met up was at the second game jam.
On the CS side, we decided our time would be best spent if we each made our own drone implementation to see which version would stick. The reason for this was twofold:
First, we found that during game jam 1, it was incredibly difficult to work on the same bit of code simultaneously due to the number of merge conflicts. While this would be fine at later stages of a project where different members can work on different features on different files, for the game jam where we were starting from scratch, we decided this would be too difficult and an ineffective use of the limited time.
Second, each member had a different idea on how the drone should work, so we thought it would be a great way to experiment with different designs. Even if a design would end up being scrapped, it would show us concretely why the design doesn't work well, and if a design wasn't finished, parts of the code could be used for the future.
On the art side, unfortunately most of the art team were unable to make it which led to trial by fire opportunity for our two present team members to learn how to make drones in blender. An understanding of Unity lets us quickly implement that initial model into the project and have something to show.

The fallout of the first game jam and team meetup was the group learning 3D modelling softwares. We were told to not worry about the environment or game story yet and focus specifically on the drone. So most discussion centred around the drone and while we have talked extensively about setting and the themes we want in the game drones were our main focus at that time.
